But consider these possibilities:<br /><br />1. He may have had the gun before 2001. That gun may have been bought long enough ago that there's no record of its sale.<br /><br />2. He may have bought the gun from a fellow criminal.<br /><br />But the real question here is why all those charges were whittled down to mere trespassing.
