But, that's exactly what would happen. All guns in criminal hands started out the legal property of people just like you. Stricter gun control would help to keep the guns where they belong.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09806175370305006933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6314891743204395487.post-70084910958605808092012-02-19T20:51:23.401+01:002012-02-19T20:51:23.401+01:00What we know, is that in the countries who's g...What we know, is that in the countries who's gun regulations you support, the violent crime rate is two to three times that of the US. While the murder rate may be lower, rape, robbery and other violent acts are much higher. Does this mean that more guns equals less crime? Not necessarily, but it certainly doesn't indicate that less guns equals less crime.

Criminals will not have fewer guns. The only way to monitor all firearms transactions would be with a registration system (which is against federal law). Even if there was a federal registration system, SCOTUS has ruled that criminals cannot be prosecuted for not registering their firearms, as it would be a violation of their 5A rights to self incrimination.

I have no fantasies about home owners shooting all the bad guys, but I also have no delusions that disarming the law abiding citizen will also disarm the criminals or reduce violent crime.Bill Baldwinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14372322870114949570noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6314891743204395487.post-24441277299038509692012-02-19T19:36:56.089+01:002012-02-19T19:36:56.089+01:00Tell it to the mother in Oklahoma.
