They're not corageously defying anything, as Kurt says, and they're not basing their decision on common sense. What they're doing is tantamount to speeding when there's no one around and you figure the chances of getting caught are near zero.
Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09806175370305006933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6314891743204395487.post-13744385469194511452015-06-25T20:43:54.973+02:002015-06-25T20:43:54.973+02:00Some may be as you describe, but most are as I did...Some may be as you describe, but most are as I did.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09806175370305006933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6314891743204395487.post-72050314395368033832015-06-25T20:43:08.749+02:002015-06-25T20:43:08.749+02:00"first you predicted that people would be fea..."first you predicted that people would be fearful of consequences and thus would comply with registration laws."

You just made that up. Not so long ago, we were observing this,

"Three years ago, the Connecticut legislature estimated there were 372,000 rifles in the state of the sort that might be classified as "assault weapons," and two million plus high-capacity magazines. Many more have been sold in the gun-buying boom since then. But by the close of registration at the end of 2013, state officials received around 50,000 applications for "assault weapon" registrations, and 38,000 applications for magazines."

http://reason.com/blog/2014/02/18/round-up-tens-of-thousands-of-gun-regist

The refusal to comply and the expansion of gun rights through legislative means in the region suggests that "common sense" means something to the citizens far different than what the gun control lobby thinks.
Considering that someone had to go to court just to get this information demonstrates that they are well aware that the SAFE Act isn't working out so well.ssgmarkcrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14480230040370709682noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6314891743204395487.post-42306188911314746782015-06-25T16:40:00.305+02:002015-06-25T16:40:00.305+02:00So first you predicted that people would be fearfu...So first you predicted that people would be fearful of consequences and thus would comply with registration laws. Now that that prediction failed, you've changed it to them being too fearful to step into the light and register their guns.
