How does his and his guest's lying about the genesis of smart gun technology speak for his qualifications as a gun-rights advocate and NRA spokesman?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09806175370305006933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6314891743204395487.post-86976178630829804102014-05-29T15:56:48.072+02:002014-05-29T15:56:48.072+02:00"Smart Gun technology is not the brainchild o... "Smart Gun technology is not the brainchild of techies who know nothing about guns - quite the opposite."<br /><br /> I agree Mike, its Smart Gun legislation is the brainchild of those who nothing about guns. And this has resulted in opposition to a developing technology that does hold promise. The question now is will it be possible for this line of research to overcome the stigma that was thrust upon it by this ill conceived law that was passed in New Jersey.<br /> I wonder what was going through Gov. Christie's mind when he signed this into law. Likely that since there weren't any guns on the market on the time, that it wasn't a risky move. He vetoed the bill banning .50BMG rifles because he reasonably argued that it has never been used to commit a crime in the state. However he seemed to miss the potential PR nightmare in this bill, especially since he was able to witness the pushback on California's legislation on the .50BMG ban and also its microstamping law. This doesn't speak well to his qualifications as a Presidential candidate.<br />ssgmarkcrhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14480230040370709682noreply@blogger.com
