Our family had an acquaintance in the 1980s from Iran who told us how they promptly execute anyone who has raped or murdered someone. Off the top of my head, I imagine just about all of the communist and Muslim countries execute lots of their offenders.

I suspect that many communist and Muslim countries do not have the resources to try to solve crimes, either.

And then we have to look at corruption which interferes with the desire to solve crimes in lots of countries around the world. Mexico is a good example.

And the U.S. has some longstanding social problems that are contributing to the crime rate.

All in all, the imprisonment rate sounds about right to me.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6314891743204395487.post-79942548660358803002012-08-28T17:12:31.672+02:002012-08-28T17:12:31.672+02:00Agreed and without reservations.Agreed and without reservations. One Flyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03772881642197609507noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6314891743204395487.post-84645047861749249272012-08-28T17:08:35.649+02:002012-08-28T17:08:35.649+02:00End the War on Drugs, and this would go away.
