Many Things You Can Do Today You Will Not Be Allowed To Do in the Future

  1. The more relevant question than what we'll be "allowed" to do in the future, is what we will in the future allow ourselves to be proscribed from doing. This video being a British project, the answer for the makers and intended audience, obviously, is quite a lot.

I'm willing to give up whaling, though.

    1. Oh yeah, the British are willing to give things up but not you.

I own more than a dozen things British subjects are forbidden to own. I will continue to own them for the duration of my life.

    3. Tough talk from an impotent subject of an oppressive government which at some point in the future may very well visit your home to disarm your ass.

Little early in the day to be hitting the sauce, isn't it, Mikeb, or are you just so intimately connected to your sick little fantasy world that you can come up with that shit even when sober?

" . . . may very well visit your home to disarm your ass," indeed. You're a hoot, Mikeb!

    5. How is that tough talk Mike? It appears to me that Kurt was simply telling you that he owns some things that are currently illegal in Britain yet legal here and likely will be until such time as his death. How is that tough talk please explain your thinking on this.

Let's talk a little more about that, shall we?

So what has happened since June 7, 2013, when you said:

Because no one is coming for [our] guns , , ,

Now, the government "may very well" someday be doing precisely that?

You might want to pick a message and stick with it, Mikeb. Yeah--your messages are pretty uniformly implausible, but it might help a little if they were at least consistent.

    7. My consistency is perfectly intact, as is yours with the lying bullshit you keep coming up with - taking one thing out of context and trying to compare it to another.

The government has indeed visited people's homes to take their guns away. This has nothing to do with my out-of-context remark that nobody is coming to take your guns.

But you knew that, right Kurt.

    8. So what was the "context" of your "no one is coming for your guns," and how does that differ from the "context" of ". . . government which at some point in the future may very well visit your home to disarm your ass"?

I am honestly (as always) curious.

    9. "No one is coming to take your guns" was always offered in response to the hysterical nonsense about Obama, about gun registration, about proposed gun control laws. It was always in the context of Australia-like massive gun bans and turn-ins. The reference to your future, Kurt, is more in the realm of disarming dangerous hidden criminals before they go off the deep end.

      Does that help your curiosity?

Ah--I see. So, "No one is coming for your guns" actually means, Well, the JBTs might be coming for your guns, but don't worry, because some other people will still be allowed to keep theirs (for now)."

      How comforting.

The reference to your future, Kurt, is more in the realm of disarming dangerous hidden criminals before they go off the deep end.

So if I'm a "hidden criminal," how is this notional Department of Pre-Crime of yours going to find me?

    11. In other words, Kurt, when he said "your guns", he didn't mean your guns.

  2. I would smoke if I felt like it
I have eaten whale and horse meat while in japan and and dog while in china and would do so again
We own a full length fur coat that my wife wears when it is cold enough and would buy another if she wanted.
