Florida Concealed Carry Permit Holder Shoots Someone Unintentionally and Suffers NO Consequences

Local news reports with video

A customer's gun fell to the floor, accidentally shooting a man while inside the Cracker Barrel restaurant in Sanford Sunday morning.

The Seminole County Sheriff's Office said after interviewing witnesses at the scene, deputies determined that a customer was on his way to the register to pay for his meal when his legally carried firearm fell from his holster onto the floor, discharging one round, which struck a male patron in the lower leg.

The shooting was determined to be accidental and no charges are expected to be filed.

Musta been one of them old guns.

Musta been one of them superior permit holders.

  1. Well Mike, I think I've mentioned before, this issue would be a perfect platform for the MOMs, at least on a local level. Bringing up the failure to prosecute careless behavior such as this. Shouldn't be hard to at least charge the guy with discharge of a firearm in the city. I imagine he might soon be losing his permit administratively.
And of course, I can see attorneys lining up drooling in anticipation in hopes of representing the wounded guy for the upcoming lawsuit.
