Bryant Gumbel Speaks His Mind

Bryant Gumbel

In an interview with Rolling Stone, HBO host Bryant Gumbel was asked about the National Rifle Association and a segment he did on his Real Sports show about the "Eat what you kill" movement.
There are a few things I hate more than the NRA. I mean truly. I think they're pigs. I think they don't care about human life. I think they are a curse upon the American landscape. So we got that on the record.

  1. Ah--the great honor of being despised by the despicable. Thank you, Mr. Dumble--oops, er . . . Gumbel.

    1. I thought you didn't consider yourself the NRA.

    2. I thought you didn't consider yourself the NRA.

I'm a life member. You can, in other words, have my membership card when you pry it from my cold, dead hands. Yes, I'm a frequent and vocal critic of the "leadership's" excessive willingness to compromise with the enemy, but I keep trying to vote in more militant board members.

It would be great if GOA had the resources and numbers that the NRA does, or if NRA had the principles of GOA, but neither of those happy situations exist, so we work with what we have.

  2. You are right Bryant.
