Trump on the Paris Tragedy

Politico

“Had there been some guys with a gun, there would have been a shootout and probably the primary people that would have got whacked would have been the killers," Trump said on CNBC's "Squawk Box." "You can’t any tougher than Paris, and you can’t get any tougher than France” on gun control, he continued. “They just said, come here, boom, come here, boom…shot these people at will."

Later on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," Trump wondered why the U.S. had not bombed the oil targets before Friday's attacks. "Why is it that we take them out now after this vicious and violent attack?" he asked, also vowing to "obliterate their source of wealth" and to "attack the banking system because they’re getting tremendous amounts of funds through a very complex network of banking and banking systems."

Wrong on the first, right on the second.

  1. The EU countries are letting terrorists into their countries, why? France is bombing Syria, why?

    1. You and I agree on this. Only RT News dares to mention it.

  2. I see domestic gun sales are up, supposedly attributed to concerns stemming from ISIS finishing the job that the French government started with its forcible disarmament of the people.

Americans, thankfully, cannot be forcibly disarmed by the French government.

    1. Yeah, and just think of how safe you'll be if the terrorists strike in The States.

I never claimed we'll be "safe." At least, though, we won't be stripped by our own government--ostensibly our servants--of any means of a fighting chance against the terrorists. Then again, many of the juiciest targets are in large cities with strict "gun control," so the terrorists will have plenty of soft targets to choose from even here, courtesy of the terror-abetting scourge of forcible citizen disarmament.

You're an infantile name-caller, but of course, if you would not bestow upon me the honor of your contempt and loathing, I'd have to wonder what I was doing wrong.

So, Mikeb, after San Bernardino, does my prediction of terrorists attacking soft (government-disarmed) targets in the U.S. still look to you like the imaginings of a "delusional fanatic," continually "kidding [him]self"?

    1. Gee whiz! That's pretty goofy even for a guy like you. I mean, you have authored some pretty whacky comments on this forum. But usually they have at least one foot firmly grounded in reactionary conservatism.

What could that possibly even mean?

Still I'm glad to know you. Extremely entertaining.

    2. I think what it means is that the Swiss are armed compared to the French and others. Orlin is pushing the nonsense argument that guns in the home would prevent successful terrorist attacks.

    3. Or, it could be that unlike the French, the US, Britain, etc., the Swiss mind their own business and are what the US used to be - Neutral in world affairs. Or, it could have to do with how they control their borders, or any other number of things.

btw, I expect to be paid for any entertainment I provide.
