Virginia is for Meat Lovers

Mike Licht has the sense of humor, that's for sure. But this?

Vegetarian hunters can donate venison to needy meat-eaters at local food banks.
Does such a thing exist? I can't think of two activities more mutually exclusive than vegetarianism and deer hunting. Can you?

  1. That is because you think of vegetarianism as some sort of religion rather than as a chosen diet.

My cousin is a cardiologist. She is a vegetarian because she believes it to be healthy. While she is not a hunter, she is not a PETArd either.

  2. The first thing I thought of when I read the blog title posting was a bumper sign on the front door of a local gun shop I support.

  3. For me the health benefits of not eating meat come second. The first reason is the philosophical one which when taken to the extreme leads to strict veganism. I'm not that extreme, but I don't want anything to do with the mass production of meat.

I actually find hunting much less objectionable, but it's not for me.
