I'm not sure what Kentucky code says about attempted murder. Maybe for attempted murder he had to want to kill someone and the grand jury thought him only reckless and negligent. I wonder what charges the prosecution presented to them?
Anyway, the family is pursuing a civil action so Bishop's life is effectively ruined by this. Hopefully the boy will recover with no lasting physical effects.
