That's exactly my thinking on the subject. We're fighting a useless war against drugs that benefits only politicians. Prohibiting a product doesn't work. Requiring people to behave appropriately with that product can be done. (Or in the case of heroin, et al., treatment programs can have success if they're given a chance.)
