Washington, DC's Chief Medical Officer on the Navy Yard Shooting

Gun ownership is essential to freedom, as we can see in Afghanistan, Iraq, Yemen, Serbia and Guatemala. Gun restrictions lead to tyranny, as in Australia, Great Britain, and Canada.

    1. The tyranny is worse in the good old US of A. But you guys are too blind to see it.

    2. Given the cameras all over and the ability of the British government to detain people at will, that's debatable.

    3. Everything I say is debatable to you, Greg. That's because you are incapable of agreeing with someone who resists your bizarre ideas of freedom and rights, even when you do.

    4. Even when I do? What does that mean?

    5. It means, even when you do agree with me, you lie about it and insist you don't. You're contentious to a fault.

  2. It's the NRA and the worship of penis substitutes. We will not control the violence until we get their cold dead fingers off the weapons and onto something alive. But if we have to begin taking out NRA members, I'm good with that.

    1. Well well well, a completely devoted gun controller who is fully honest about the means he's willing to use.

Too bad that if you got your way you're too much of a coward to try to enforce your decrees yourself. You'd send others off to carry out your summary executions but never risk taking return fire yourself.

  3. Her opinion on medical subjects is valuable. Her faulty appeal to emotion to "get rid of this" is a fallacy. It's also factually wrong, since as we've discussed many times, rates of violence are at a decades-long low during the same period that gun ownership has increased and gun laws have loosened. She also commits the fallacy of misleading vividness here. Amazing for fewer than two minutes.

  4. "Lets stop the killing!"

    And NRA Greg, says NO!

    1. That is a lie. What I say is that I've yet to see any proposal on the gun control side that would prevent killing.

    2. Greg, you keep saying that but it's not true. You yourself have admitted that our ideas of gun control would work but it's not worth it because they would violate freedom too much.

    3. No, I haven't. Your proposals might shift the numbers slightly, but good policing has done much more than that. We're at a decades-long low in violence of all types. What you want would make no appreciable change.

    4. Of course you say that. It's a perfect example of what I said above. Even when you agree with something we say, you insist you don't out of loyalty to your cause. I don't really give a fuck, but you're a thoroughly dishonest man.

    5. Where did I agree with you? It should be clear to you that on the subject of guns, you and I disagree on every point.

    6. Just an automatic disagreement, no matter what the facts, like a good little NRA dupe.
