  1. Of course by today's standards, NRA life member JFK would be demonized as a far-right lunatic.

    1. Far right lunatics don't believe in any of the items mentioned by JFK in this quote. In fact no Republican today would agree with this statement, nor did most (what might be called more moderate conservative of his time) Republicans back then.

  2. Most of that is stirring rhetoric without substance. It sounds good, but we have to get down to the details to know for sure. This also shows the degree to which all proper meaning has been drained from words like liberal and conservative.

    1. Without substance?
I guess you forgot about all the laws passed to insure these ideals.

  3. Well, it certainly doesn't mean "to allow" anymore.

  4. As a conservative I care about all of those things as well. Just don't steal from me to make those things happen. The definition of a liberal is someone who wants to take other people's money and spread it around while keeping some for themselves as well as having the power to determine who gets the money. Deep down the liberal politicians don't give a crap about the poor and downtrodden, they just need their votes to keep their power and money.

  5. "Liberal" is simply a euphemism for the Incurably Stupid.

  6. Communal taxation, what a concept. To be able to afford to build, that which individuals cannot. To be able to lesson hunger, starvation, premature death, and old age poverty. Just part of why we are known as a better society than most. These are national security priorities.

  7. Look at the sentiment portrayed here. The liberal way is the only way to go about solving a problem. If you don't agree with the liberal solution, then that must mean you don't care about the problem. We see it the gun debate all the time; "you don't care about 20 dead children!"

    1. In the absence of any other ideas to fix those problems.............
To ignore the problem, is to not care what happens to people.
Yes, you see no reason to stop the killing of children, then I reject your solution and condemn you attitude that nothing has to be done.

    2. Anonymous, we discuss solutions here all the time. But you just like to toss out accusations without evidence. You also don't offer solutions yourself, which comes as no surprise, since gun control freaks have nothing useful to offer.

    3. YOU don't discuss solutions, name one. YOU only cry about your rights being infringed, which is false. Laws about magazine capacity, background checks, etc., etc. are not infringing on your rigth to buy and own guns. YOU have stated you won't follow the law because you disagree with it and refuse to work within the law to change what you don't like. As Kurt has said, he's not a law abiding citizen, and you have said the same. You are beyond gun loon, you propose criminal activity, which is well documented by your own words on this blog.
