Blog Changes

I've decided to return to a slimmer trimmer blog. You'll see the changes starting now, hopefully they'll be to your liking.

About the anonymous-commenting confusion, I've just posted the last of them.  Starting now commenters must be named in order to have their remarks posted.

I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and I thank you all for your participation.

Best Christmas advert

If you know anything about British Christmas: then you should know about the Christmas adverts.

This year, Sainsbury's did one in remembrance of the centenary of the First World War.  This was a real event when there was an unofficial truce on parts of the Western Front during Christmas 1914.

It was the event that led to strict rules on fraternising with the enemy.
