The Georgia Guidestones

From Wikipedia, of course. I sure hope the Supreme Court Justices keep Rule number 8 in mind as they write the McDonald decision.

  1. Maintain humanity under 500,000,000 in perpetual balance with nature.
  2. Guide reproduction wisely - improving fitness and diversity.
  3. Unite humanity with a living new language.
  4. Rule passion - faith - tradition - and all things with tempered reason.
  5. Protect people and nations with fair laws and just courts.
  6. Let all nations rule internally resolving external disputes in a world court.
  7. Avoid petty laws and useless officials.
  8. Balance personal rights with social duties.
  9. Prize truth - beauty - love - seeking harmony with the infinite.
  10. Be not a cancer on the earth - Leave room for nature - Leave room for nature.

6 comments:

  1. What "social duty?"

The "social duty" to allow politicians to disarm you?

  2. Don't worry, no. 7 cancels MikeB's thoughts on no. 8.

  3. I like #8, and I fully intend to balance my fundamental human right to keep and bear arms with my solemn social duty to defend liberty.

  4. Jade Gold analogy:
#1 says we need to only have 500 million people. We have 6.8 billion people. So 6.3 billion people have to die. Since we cannot coerce 6.3 billion people to commit suicide, we have to murder 6.3 billion people. Therefore, MikeB is a murderer.

That is how the anti-gun loon crowd thinks. For an example, read his latest vile nonsense about Tea Party protesters being racists through his fuzzy association.

  5. I hope they keep No. 8 in mind too. There is no “balance” in DC and Chicago, hence the ruling to restore personal rights.
