Wisconsin Tavern Shooting

Here's one of those shootings in places that serve alcohol which are never supposed to happen according to the gun advocates. Who in their right mind would think guns in taverns is a good thing?

On the right side of the JS Online link there's a nice run down of what's been happening in Milwaukee. Sounds like a nice place to visit.

  1. Right. Wisconsin should make carrying concealed legal so they could in turn make it illegal to do it in a bar. That will fix it.

  2. Really? You just chose a story from a state that has no CCW law and is illegal to carry in a bar at all as your folks-with-CCW-shouldn't-be-allowed-to-carry-in-a-bar story?

  3. Oh and he had a CCW mark Jade's words!

  4. If violence never happened in a bar then why would we want to be able to carry there?

  5. Van Dyke, thanks for all your comments, which I usually find ridiculous like this one. But I appreciate your coming around nonetheless.

And what was you name before?

  6. Yeah, because he's got to be Mike W, or somebody else that used to visit. He couldn't possibly be another new guy who happened to be anonymous until a day or so ago.

  7. I was exclusively Anonymous, with the exception of one post which I won't elaborate on.

If you are curious, I usually included a link and always refereed to Laci as 'Laci's owner'. Occasionally I made typos, usually transposing keys because I type fast.

  8. That one post was not misrepresenting another person, rather my otherwise more widely used online persona.

  9. Alcohol and gunloonery. Always leads to a bad end.

  10. Do we yet know how this person was able to get a firearm and ammunition?

  11. Van Dyke, Just for curiosity's sake, do we know your "more widely used online persona," around here?

Southern Beale, thanks for asking that question which is so often overlooked. In the case of the Discovery lunatic, I think it turned out he'd only had starter pistols, or something like that, so the gun crowd sarcastically asked me on another thread, what do I want to do ban starter pistols now.

By then though, the argument had evolved into something else. Why do these nuts think violence or the threat thereof is a legitimate political tool. This is where the pro gun folks bear much of the blame, in my opinion.

Through criminal means. Please sit down in case it comes as a shock to you but criminals do not obey gun laws or any laws.

  13. I seriously doubt anybody here knows me by another name. I've only recently appeared in the anti/gun blogger circles.

I'm not anybody famous, in the industry, or published either. Although I would be honored if you thought I was John Lott.

  14. Van Dyke, since there are only about a dozen anti-gunners out there, they think that we are few in number as well.

Just out of curiosity's sake, what other aliases do you and JadeGold use? I know there are many documented instances of JadeGold using aliases already, but there are probably a few more that aren't known. I wouldn't be surprised if you had a couple too.
