Whenever the cops say this to justify shooting at criminals, just like when they say "the guy with the knife lunged," it's code for, "I didn't have to shoot the guy but I was so pissed off that he wouldn't obey me that I did anyway."
Here's the latest incident, San Jose style.
What's your opinion? Is that too cynical? Please leave a comment.
When you let yourself get stabbed or hit by a car, only then can you say the police officer didn't have to shoot the person wielding the deadly weapon.
ReplyDeleteIt's one thing to have some suspicions about the officers' claim of danger, Guy KKKabot's Biggest (Only?) Cheerleader, but you seem absolutely positive the shooting was unjustified, every time the suspect supposedly drove right at officer(s), or lunged with a knife.
ReplyDeleteThe truth, of course, is that you don't have any fucking idea if the officers are lying, or not.
Zorro, Of course I don't know for sure if they're lying or not. I like to flesh the stories out to make obvious points, you know that.
ReplyDeleteBy the way, we're tired of your "Guy KKKabot's Biggest (Only?) Cheerleader" salutation. Consider this a gentle reminder to knock it the fuck off.
