Lawful Cleveland Gun Owner Shoots Daughter and Kills Himself

Local news reports

The preliminary investigation reveals that a 46-year-old man, Robert Arnold, shot his 12-year-old daughter in the chest then turned the gun on himself and took his own life.

Cops say the child called 911. She was rushed to Metro for treatment. She is listed in stable condition.

Neighbors tell 19 Action News that Arnold was a guy who pretty much kept to himself. "He's a pretty nice guy, you know?" neighbor John Greg said. "Like I said, everybody has their problems. He had his moments and, you know, that's the way it goes."

Arnold's daughter was at the home for a weekend visit.
He may or may not have had a concealed carry permit too. No one checked.

  1. Two speculations in one article--that he was lawful and that he may have had a carry license. This, despite being shown repeatedly that the news and police do check and many of your so-called lawful gun owners weren't.

Oh, well, if you cared about evidence, you'd be on my side.

  2. You have no idea if he was lawful. You assume so. You don't know if anyone checked to see if he had a concealed carry permit. You assume not. That's the nice thing about assumptions. You don't have to bother with facts or evidence.

    1. From the perspective of people like Mikeb, calling for evidence only shows us to be wrong. His side can't build an argument on facts and logic, so they define the use of those to be out of order.
