  1. Way to go Bloomberg way to turn a 10% rout into a bare plurality.... And great job cementing the house delegates at R67:D33 no gun control laws for the next two years for you.

  2. And all for the paltry sum of 2-million-dollars.....

  3. I'm sure soon to be former Mayor Bloomberg is pleased that the million or so he put into the campaign accomplished his aims. So now he's in the same league as the NRA in trying to shape the political process.

  4. It's the beginning of the end for you and your precious gun rights.

  5. Well since the governor cannot write law and the just elected R67:D33 house will not present any new gun control laws good luck with that but I sure see you dissappoited in 4 years when he cannot run for a second consecutive term.....

    1. Stick your fingers in your ears and sing Lalalalalala all you like. But deep down you know that in a gun-lovin' state like Virginia, a guy who bragged about his F rating from the NRA won the governor's race. This is a harbinger of things to come.

  6. And Gov. Stupid didn't even get 50% of the vote so where is his mandate.....

    1. Seems wrong that a minority of the voters should be able to elect a person. In this day and age of technology, instant run-off voting should be the norm.

  7. Did you notice that in Virginia, the Republican plus the Libertarian add up to more than fifty percent? That hardly shows a support for gun control, especially since that wasn't the subject of this campaign. And New York and New Jersey? The toilet that flushes into the sewer. No surprises there.

  8. That was the same result for Clinton's election. Perot and Bush together got the majority. I'll wait for 2014 elections before I call it tide turning, but last night was for Democrats.

    1. This election was influenced by the shutdown, even though that was federal politics, not state. Next year will have the full consequences of the Obamacare fiasco available for all to see.

    2. You may well be correct. The ACA (a program I do not like) has many problems, but you were wrong about this election, so don't bet your house on it. Federal politics always reflect on State and local elections. That's the norm rather than rare.
