    1. Yeah, that doesn't sound like anything Wayne would ever say, right?

    2. No Mike it does sound like something he would say however that does not mean he said it or possibly that this is a piece of satire that some are knowingly trying to falsely push as the truth..You know I am not a fan of the NRA however lying about the things they say and do is wrong just as it is wrong when pro rights people lie about things people say and do on your side..All i asked for was verification that this was actually said and you are either unable or unwilling to provide it and are willing to go with the well it must be the truth it sounds like something he would say mantra

    3. I don't have anything more than what I posted. But even if I did, would that prove that he said it? You believe everything you read on the internet as long as it contains a link to some site?

You're just being needlessly contentious to question this. If something reasonably sounds like he said it, we let it pass as the truth.

    4. "But even if I did, would that prove that he said it?"...Mike the meme claims the quote was said on fox ...video of him saying what is claimed would be proof.....obviously I do not believe everything I read....your just upset because you got called on more of your BS

    5. MikeB: "If something reasonably sounds like he said it, we let it pass as the truth."

My God, No. No, no, no.

    6. You guys are just being contentious. Generally speaking, when a quote appears that seems perfectly consistent with the person attributed, I accept it as true. What do you guys do, demand proof? Or do you save that bullshit for posts like this one?

    7. That explains why you believed it initially. What do you do after you find out it was satire? You still accept it as true, because it "sounds like something he would say".

    8. Do you accept all their Bachmann quotes as true as well?

    9. That one sounds a little crazy even for her. If you said Sarah Palin had said it, I might have believed it.

  2. "Christians for Michele Bachmann, or C4MB for short, is a popular satire site and Facebook page that parodies the Religious Right and various other wingnuts. It is possibly one of the best examples of Poe's Law to grace social media, as several memes have tricked a ridiculous number of people that were too lazy to bother source checking into thinking they were the real deal."

    1. What, are you also questioning if this is a real quote? Doesn't it sound like something he would say?

    4. If you are going to spew insults, expect them in return. I know, that's irrational to you, which proves my point, thanks for that.

    5. "If you are going to spew insults, expect them in return" I certainly do expect them in return when I have actually insulted someone, Im a adult I can take it Fred but you have yet to explain what insulted you, only that you are insulted but refuse to state why...Good luck Fred

  4. Mike, do you remember when you said this:

"Guns do more harm then good. Legitimate DGUs are rare as is, and if limiting gun ownership to only the truly fit reduces the amount of DGUs, so be it. I don't care if some people die because of it, the net result is that more lives will be saved."

Do you remember that? You shouldn't because I made it up. But it does sound like something you'd say, doesn't it? At least it would to pro-gun people.

    1. Not really. " I don't care if some people die" doesn't sound like anything I've ever said.

On the other hand the above quote from La Pierre sounds just like him. Do you disagree with that or are you just being petty and disagreeable like GJ?

      Delete
    2. Yes, I disagree with that, because LaPierre's assertion is that the United States has way too many gun free zones, and mass shootings happen in gun free zones. So no, he would never say "we don't have mass shootings". His intent is to get gun free zone policies relaxed. Don't you agree that is his stance?

      Delete
    3. By the way, I put that line in there specifically because you would find it objectionable, yet to your opponents that would sound like something you would say. You don't use the words "I don't care if some people die" but that sentiment is at the heart of your "guns do more harm than good" line. Some people would die because of your policies (you admit that DGUs happen, but call it "rare"), but you believe more people would be saved.

    4. You're really stretching what La Pierre said in the above quote. He referred to being "vulnerable to these attacks," not general mass shootings or gun free zones. I understood his reference to be about terrorist attacks, of which we really haven't had too many. The reason, of course, is the Second Amendment. That was the funny part.

"You don't use the words "I don't care if some people die" but that sentiment is at the heart of your "guns do more harm than good" line." That's a big stretch - and untrue.
