Because Science and Medicine are Biased Against Guns

Medical doctors biased against gunloons.

Florida Medical Association:

This legislation criminalizes doctors who ask their patients about gun ownership to ascertain accurate and complete patient history as well as advise patients on gun safety. The bill also prohibits physicians from discharging a patient from his or her practice based on the patient’s refusal to answer a question. This is an inappropriate intrusion of government into the bond that exists between doctors and their patients. The FMA is adamantly opposed to these bills.

Gunloons often tell us they are opposed to any laws or regulations because they place "terrible, onerous burdens' on law-abiding citizens (who aren't really law-abiding). Yet, apparently, gunloons have no difficulty criminalizing prudent behavior of medical doctors.

The 'Give-A-Handgun-To-A-Schizophrenic Bill'

A snafu during a legislative debate where a microphone was turned on captured banter between two Iowa GOP leaders, who also joked about a “give-a-handgun-to-a-schizophrenic bill.”
Republicans this week revived a proposal that would allow Iowans to carry weapons in public without permission from a sheriff, without background checks and without training requirements.

Actual responses to the Tucson shooting — that is, something that might actually stop similar tragedies in the future or reduce the carnage — seem to be limited to a proposal in Congress to ban the sale of the kind of ammunition clip that allowed the gunman to fire 31 shots in 15 seconds. That bill is stalled at the gate. Perhaps Congress has been too busy repeatedly voting on bills to repeal the health care law to think about anything else. But, so far, the gun-clip ban has zero Republican supporters, which is a problem given the matter of the Republicans being in the House majority

Well, it seems Schaeff didn't just carry his gun where he shouldn't and he wasn't beating and choking Mrs. Cox which is his usual hobby.

Nope,  the pride of the NRA is in some serious kimchee:

Five Fairbanks-area residents involved in a loose-knit militia group have been arrested in connection with a plot to kidnap or kill Alaska state troopers and a local judge, federal and state authorities said on Friday.
The group includes Francis "Schaeffer" Cox, the 26-year-old leader of the so-called "citizen sovereignty" movement, which considers individuals to be sovereign nations not subject to any state or federal laws.

The True Purpose of Competitive Shooting Sports

In linking to a wonderful article about collegiate competitive shooting sports, Zorroy kindly informed us of their true prupose.

Granted, it's just sporting clays, but I suspect it can in many cases serve as a "gateway sport," leading many young shooters to endeavors that will help them learn shooting skills more useful for killing scumbag goblins, jackbooted thugs, and their statist masters (and any other subhumans I may have forgotten).

Great news for the U.S., and for Earth in general.

Do you think Zorroy's right? Haven't we mentioned before about the simulated killing which is inherent in all forms of shooting whether it be target or clay pigeons or just plinking in the woods? Isn't there built-in gun violence in all of it?
