Prof. Goodwin Liu

Liberal Viewer points out the incredible manipulation used by Fox News.

Prof. Liu says some interesting things about the "concept of responsibility" and the "moral duty to make things right."

  1. Who uses Fox as a source of "news?" Even the extremely conservative senator from Oklahoma, Tom Colburn, told the Tea Party folks not to base any of their talking points on 'stuff' they heard on Fox.

I would imagine, Mike, that NONE of the people who post comments on your blog get their 'facts' from Fox.

  2. So a biased, left wing liberal complains about a right wing talk show host being biased. His evidence is one talk show host that uses chopped video taking things out of context complaining about a comedian using chopped video to take things out of context. Further, we are supposed to be all horrified that the right wing talk show host objects to the appointment of a left wing nut case as a Federal judge.

    Yawn.

    then:

" Further, we are supposed to be all horrified that the right wing talk show host objects to the appointment of a left wing nut case as a Federal judge."

    is too delicious.

Fox commentators, like politicians only lie when their mouths are moving.

  4. Demo, I never heard of this clown Liu before on Fox News or any where else for that matter. I found out that he was a left wing nut case from this liberal viewer video that Mike posted. The narrator says that he met Liu when he was the former Director of the Northern Califonia ACLU. Translation: Left Wing Nut Job. It doesn't take Fox News or anyone else to make that leap.

  5. I think that anyone who gets ALL their news from FOX is making a mistake. However, FOX makes a valuable contribution to the process and it is also a mistake to NOT pay attention to FOX or similar sources.

One will often hear a story on FOX that differs from that reported on, say, CNN. That should be taken as a clue that it's time to research the story further on your own -- and you will often find that there were things that CNN did not tell you that significantly change the implicats of the story.

Case in point: "90% of Mexican guns..."

  6. Interestingly enough the one think I almost exclusively hear from Liberals is that they DO NOT watch FOX.

OTOH, Conservatives, Libertarians, etc. etc. watch several different networks.

The left's hatred for Fox is sad. They simply can't deal with opposing viewpoints. Instead of broadening their POV they denigrate dissent and try to shut people up.

While probably true to a large extent, allow me to make nicey to our host.

Mikeb posted a Carlin clip from Patterico, which Mikeb says he follows. If one follows Patterico (as I also do), one encounters quite a bit of thorough and convincing debunking of lefty talking points and misleading media stories.

...not to mention bias and twisting of their own.

Aren't you the same guy who accuses me of making things up?

Not only did you make that crap up, it's wrong.
