Another Cop's Gun Found by Kids

This time it's in Florida, last time it was North Carolina.

One strike you're out, officer. Surrender the guns and look for a new line of work.

Is that too severe?

What's your opinion? Please leave a comment.

  1. "Is that too severe?"

I guess that would depend upon whether you believe people can learn from their mistakes, and whether education would have prevented this.

Personally, I think that he should be (and will be) charged with some sort of 'negligence' charge.

  2. I know how much you enjoy vilifying Florida, but you might have to change your opinion, now that it's clear that even Florida is not without pusillanimous petty tyrants with an obsessive hatred of guns. Man--I wish I could write one tenth as well as Fred Reed.

David Codrea has more on this state-sanctioned child abuse in the Florida school system. He's another whose writing is far beyond my ability.

  3. Zorro, If I didn't know any better I'd think you were fishin' for compliments. You're a better writer than both those guys put together.

  4. Yeah, and I play guitar better than Carlos Santana, ride a bike better than Alberto Contador, and am better looking than a Calvin Klein underwear model ;-).

Thanks, Mikeb, but you're just being silly.
