There is no reason to own guns. NEVER. EVER. PERIOD.
ReplyDeleteYou know somebody with guns, call the Police. Even if you need to embellish a little bit. In the end, it's about getting guns away from people.
You will have blood on his hands unless you call the Police.
What has DHS been saying these past few years? If you see something, say something. They haven't made that Patriot App for the iPhone for nothing.
Spoken like a true and loyal member of the Stasi.
DeleteSpoken like a true racist-redneck terrorist, who would inevitably do hat all gun owners do and go on a rampage, if you weren't too fat to leave your mother's basement.
DeleteHi Mike,
ReplyDeleteFor some reason, the link you supplied for the 2011 article isnt going anywhere. Keep in mind that this article came from another pro gun control blog, which got it from a different gun control blog. Did you check the links before posting?
In the most recent article, the man involved was a police officer with over 20 years of experience. Whenever you see school resource officer mentioned, it's a cop. And the second event listed was a retired police officer with an even longer service record.
And then, the author of the post threw in an entirely unrelated event involving a relative of one of the teachers at the school who illegally brought a gun into the school. We was charged with an offense and turned himself in.
What's your point, ss? Are you saying when Wayne La Pierre said "good guy with a gun" he was excluding cops?
DeleteNo, I wasnt saying that. I was pointing out that when someone has to dig so deep that in order to lend credibility to their argument that they use data that has nothing to do with their claim, it calls into question all of the data. In this case, Baldr seems to own all of the blogs that he uses as sources, which can make finally getting to the real data a challenge.
DeleteFor example, it's a common assertion that many believe that only the military and police should have ready access to either some, or all guns. Then someone writes an article where a good percentage of the people who misused their firearms in a school were police officers. I'm all for holding those who misuse firearms accountable for their actions, you using an article from Baldr who uses data that has no relevance to his assertion, doesnt help your credibility.
Baldr wrote as an intro to the list you put in your post, "But there HAVE been instances where conceal carry permit holders, including armed security guards, have had accidents at schools. Consider the following examples:"
