So, in essence, carry permt laws will be determined by the states. Illinois is sort of working a two tier challenge to their order requiring them to put a permit process in place. They are actually working on legislation while their attorney general has asked for more time to consider appealing.
That was a whole lot of no answer. Forty states have shall issue or constitutional carry. Illinois is being dragged into freedom by the Seventh Circuit ruling, but we'll see where that goes, now that it's been appealed. What we can say is that the cause of gun rights has made significant gains. I also know that we'll continue fighting to keep the ground we've won and to win more.
