The Fascinating Story of Black Metal Murderer Varg Vikernes

Dangerous Minds

Varg

I’d like to think the US could attempt this sort of careful diligence in apprehending our own domestic terrorists, but let’s be honest, gun-wielding psychos are a protected class in this country.

  1. This dude is being held in Garde a Vue, in Brive-la-Gaillarde, just 45 kilometers from when I live.I have been following this story since it broke and the background from the La Horde anti fascist web site. I can give you the links to his music if you'd like! I found it pretty bizarre that the Republican controlled congress in the USA voted to allow suspected terrorists to purchase guns in America yesterday. Man, the USA is beyond...controlled by a legislature who desires ultimate power and will do anything to obstruct any thing that they they think will obstruct their ability to manipulate the fear of the deliberately ignorant public. I had been using the image of Trayvon Martin as an Avatar image on facebook and on my word press accounts...it was very interesting to see the reactions of people who just didn't want to have to look at his face. From a pathologically fascinating view point, I am going to keep it up for a while.I might do an entire post of the collected insanity of the reaftions I have been getting!

    1. Apparently, you don't realize that the terrorist watch list is far from being a list of suspects. It is, in many cases, just a list of people who have had rumors spread about them. There is no due process in getting on said list, no accountability to the public about who is on said list, and no clear way to be removed from said list.

    2. Greg, you're talking out your ass again. You don't know shit about the terrorist watch list and how it's compiled. Once again, you're just repeating stuff that sounded good to you.

    3. Mike,

Greg's giving an accurate summary of the list--one that progressives and the ACLU have pointed out when they were talking about how unfair it was that Bush made up the list and kept people off airplanes using it.

Does Greg know the exact policies for putting people on and off the list? No, because the government has shrouded this in secrecy--hence his statement regarding the lack of accountability.

    4. Thanks, Anonymous.

      Mikeb, answer these questions:

      1. Do you accept the news reports about the terrorist watch list? To be sure, I don't work for any of the agencies responsible for it, so I have to go with what we've been shown.

      2. If you do accept the reports, do you believe that it's a good idea to have a secret list of the nature that those reports have described?

      Delete
    5. No, I don't accept those reports because they only come from people with an ax to grind. And they're only accepted by people like you who feel the reports support their ideas.

    6. Does the New York Times have an axe to grind? How about the ACLU? Seriously, Mikeb, it's been people on the left and those of us off the spectrum who care about rights who have objected to the list all along.

It's funny that you demand honesty from an honest person, but then refuse to practice any yourself. Of course, you may support the idea of a secret list with no appeal.

    7. Well then, I guess that you need to stop telling us what a tyranny we live under with all the wiretapping, indefinite detention, etc., because those reports only come from people with an ax to grind and are only accepted by people who feel that the reports support their positions.

  2. Protected class? The Tucson shooter, the Aurora shooter, the Boston bomber are all on trial and are likely to go down for a long stretch. Who's protected, again?

    1. Those are sacrificial lambs so the rest of you lawful gun owners can get away with whatever you want.

    2. Fuck you. Your standard accusations are bad enough, but this one shows that you don't consider us to be any more important than something you scraped off your shoe, and that you're not interested in any type of dialog with anyone.

    3. No, Mikeb, the arseholes I named are all criminals and deserve to be punished. That's the difference.

    4. Anonymous, I consider about 50% of you to be true, fit and responsible gun owners. The other half should be disarmed. It's from among that half that we have almost all of our headlines including those sacrificial lambs.

    5. Out comes the 50% bullshit--it's only half of us that you consider to be sociopaths who sacrifice a few of our number to deflect from our own, well hidden murders.

Of course, Your original statement had no such constriction and lumped in all lawful gun owners into that group. And even if we accept that you only meant half of us, that still means that you have slandered 50% of lawful gun owners as being psycho killers on par with these spree shooters.

    6. Fortunately, Mikeb, what you consider to be true matters not in the slightest.
