Florida Lawful Gun Owner Shoots Himself in the Head Celebrating the New Year

Local news reports

A man celebrating the New Year while playing with a gun is fighting for his life.

An unidentified man was celebrating New Year's Eve with his family, according to Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Sgt. Brian Shore. The man was playing with a gun around midnight, when he accidentally fired it and shot himself in the head.

The victim was transported to UF Health Jacksonville where he is currently in serious condition. No charges are pending at this time.

You know he might have had a concealed carry permit, this being Florida and all. It's really hard to tell just how bad the permit holders are.  So many incidents keep happening and no one is checking what permits and licenses the idiot gun owners have in their wallets.

  1. That has nothing to do with it!! It's all about his exercising his right to shoot himself in the head.

  2. Tagging this as "concealed carry idiots" is a lie. You know the police check in many cases, and you know next to nothing about this one man.

    1. It's cases just like this one that most easily go undiagnosed. No one gives a fuck if he had a permit or not after he's dead. And you gun nuts certainly don't mind keeping your stats lookin' good.

  3. What does it matter if he has a carry permit, or not? It's just another example why gun loons need more laws to stop their stupid, murderous behavior.

    1. You're right, but the reason it matters is the gun loons keep telling us that concealed carry permit holders are some kind of super-responsible group of people. I dispute that.

    2. You dispute that with guesswork and claims that the police don't do their jobs.

    3. One reason to point it out is because of the lies of people like the site criminal lying coward.

    4. No, Greg, I dispute it with common sense and logic. Plus, I daily post examples, which don't add up to enough to matter, but they are representative of what's happening out there.

    5. A representative sample is one that accurately reflects the characteristics of the whole. You haven't given any reason to believe that your samples are representative.

    6. A representative sample are reported incidents by police and crime reporters, which Mike posts constantly.

  6. I was drinking two kinds of German beer and champagne on New Year's Eve. I ended up YouTubing Black Sabbath and Jimi Hendrix as well as making a complete idiot of myself on this blog.

Two good points. I was YouTubing with 100 watts over big speakers. I was out of bed by 10:30 the next morning.
