  1. "Seeing a lot more of these stories now: road rage and fights escalating into shootings, now that everyone is carrying guns in their cars."

An interesting observation considering that between 2007 and 2012 the violent crime rate declined from 753 per 100k to 643 per 100k. Do I also get to say the part about "now that everyone is carrying guns in their cars"?

    1. Ah but it's "seeing more stories". The easiest way to see more stories is to look for more stories.

    2. Actually, "seeing more stories" is a pretty good indicator of what's going on in the world. The small decrease in violent crime between 2007 and 2012 could include a disproportionate number of non-gun crimes. I posted the other day about Washington state accidental shootings having gone up drastically. That would be a result of "everyone carrying guns nowadays."
