The Ridiculous Idea of Campus Carry

  1. I'm certainly glad we have moved beyond the time where those that weren't white or male are allowed to pursue an education and demand their rights like anyone else. Funny how they left that middle part out. Must be a typo.......

"At its meeting of October 4–5, 1824, the University of Virginia Board of Visitors discusses a number of issues, including what professors to hire and the regulations that would govern student life at the new university, including right of students to bring personal slaves onto Grounds."

"No Student shall, within the precincts of the University, introduce, keep or use any spirituous or vinous liquors, keep or use weapons or arms of any kind,
or gunpowder, keep a servant, horse or dog, appear in school with a stick, or any weapon, nor, while in school, be covered without permission of the Professor, nor use tobacco by smoking or chewing, on pain of any of the minor punishments, at the discretion of the Faculty, or of the board of Censors, approved by the Faculty."

  2. Of course I agree with SS and all pro gun people who quite rightly say that more guns means less crime. I look forward to all the money we can save as a country and the nirvana of an armed society. No need for police, or a justice system, or laws they claim don't work anyways. Summary executions at the desecration of individuals in the streets will take care of crime. The government will issue a gun to every American when born and say, this is the promise of our government's responsibility to keep you safe and secure.

Sorry Sandra, your rhetoric rings false when there are already millions who carry for self defense and there is hard data to show they are much more law abiding than the general public.

    2. Well, I don't find your hard data about that convincing at all, as I have explained many times. But, let's say it is, for the sake of argument. The difference is minor. As Sandra points out with sarcasm, the country has not turned safe and secure as a result of more guns. The reality is quite different.
