  2. They are successful because people are tired of the canned liberal biased slant on the other channels.

  3. I didn't even watch the clip. Why you continue to support the weapons of mass distraction media baffles me. Why don't post some Rete 4 news stories, it would be the same thing as you enabling and spreading the bullshit that Fox News and the other Weapons of Mass Distraction media broadcasts.

  4. Everyone who has a reason to not like Barack Obama can find comfort in Fox News. While CNN and MSNBC are fighting to see who can kiss the presidents ass the most, Fox literally has a monopoly on the anti-Obama market.

  5. Don't know, don't care.

    I haven't watched TV since 2001.

Couldn't care less who has the most viewers and have no opinion on who has the most viewers.

    Don't watch, don't care.

  6. FWM said Fox News is popular because of the "canned liberal biased slant on the other channels."

I don't know if that makes sense. What is this if not canned conservative biased slant.

I heard a report recently that they're much more popular today than a year ago because of all the middle conservatives who didn't bother to tune in before but are now frightened of Obama for one reason or another and take comfort in the over-the-top rhetoric of these characters like Bill O'Rielly.

    I don't know.

You nailed it. It is pure marketing. That is why FOX is popular.

Fox realized a long time ago that they could not compete as just another media outlet and they needed a niche. So they decided they would cater to those that are tired of the liberal slant and instead provide a biased conservative slant.

The reason they are becoming more popular is that the audience at large is tired of the old school media liberal bias is all and more are tuning into them.

Fox is not doing anything better than they did five years ago, their audience is just growing.

  8. America is ranked 44th for press freedom in the world. None of the media outlets in America show the graphic video clips of what fighting a war is all about. Everyone is concerned about the Gates story, Michael Jackson funeral, and the health care debate, while the Pentagon's budget continues to grow unchecked and no one mentions it. ALL the media in America enables the military industrial complex and the Imperial ambitions of the United States. There is no such thing as a liberal media. Anyone who follows that logic is playing right into the hands of the two party system and the status quo in America. Wake up. Turn off the weapons of mass distraction media and get your news from the AP and Reuters. Anyone want to call those outlets liberal? Basta!!! BOH!!

  9. Dear Prince, I agree with you for the most part, but I don't think everything is purposely being used to distract. Some of it is just for entertainment - like my blog

  10. principe,

Where do you think the media (CNN, Fox, MSNBC, New York Times, etc) gets its news from?

Ding Ding Ding - AP and Reuters.

Very little of what goes on in news organizations is reporting. Most of it is simply parroting what the AP and Reuters are telling them.
