Were the parents arrested or charged with a crime? We have no mention of that in the article."[Capt. James] Nettles urged parents to keep their guns locked up and out of reach." That's about it.Three-year-old India Grant just finished going to the bathroom with her mother's help Friday morning when she crossed through her parents' master bedroom and saw the family's loaded handgun sitting unsecured on a windowsill.
Dorchester County Coroner Chris Nisbet said India's mother was still in the bathroom closet when the child handled the .45-caliber firearm and looked into the barrel. The gun fired.

It kinda seems to me like this would fall under the heading of criminal negligence. What the heck is a loaded gun doing lying around on a windowsill?

ReplyDeleteHey, if the kid wants to kill herself, she'll kill herself! If there was no gun she'd just swallow a small part from a poorly made toy or sumpin!
It's not the gunz fault, or the fault of the LAGO who can put their gunz wherever they want to,'cuz it's their Type2A RIGHT to do so. And that kid shoulda kept her mitts off the gun!
Gunz don't kill toddlers, toddlers kill, ummm, I know there's something else to say here but I can't think of what it is right now.
democommie, Your dark humor so clearly points out the foolishness of the pro-gun arguments that I'm not surprised none of them commented about it.
