I have difficulty taking people seriously who talk like that. In fact I think some of the most vocal among them are the least sincere and genuine. The problem is their less-than-intelligent listeners. Those are the guys who go out and shoot up the joint. You know, our Founding Fathers, they put that Second Amendment in there for a good reason and that was for the people to protect themselves against a tyrannical government. And in fact Thomas Jefferson said it's good for a country to have a revolution every 20 years.
I hope that's not where we're going, but, you know, if this Congress keeps going the way it is, people are really looking toward those Second Amendment remedies and saying my goodness what can we do to turn this country around? I'll tell you the first thing we need to do is take Harry Reid out.
What do you think? Surely Sharron Angle wasn't suggesting someone kill harry Reid, was she?

The poor gal's just lookin' for a date's'all. She's got the hots for Harry and I can see why. He looks a little bit like George Will who used to be somewhat far right until they put the Overton window on a flatbed.
Sweet, sweet Sharon would never, ever advocate violent overthrow of the gummint with attendant assassinatory activity.
Sharron Angle as a new Senator would have been horrible for the 2nd amendment as Schumer would have no doubt become Majority Leader.
ReplyDeleteHarry Reid on the other hand has been a long time friend of the 2nd amendment for as long as he's been a Senator. He's been instrumental in stopping gun control in the past and in moving forward pro-gun legislation.
If not for supporting Obama's SCOTUS nominees, he would've had the NRA's endorsement in the last election.
The funny thing about people who advocate '2nd Amendment Remedies.' They've forgotten the four boxes of liberty.
"There are four boxes to be used in the defense of liberty: soap, ballot, jury and ammo. Please use in that order"
Changed a bit since Frederick Douglass, but you get the idea.
I love the "ballots or bullets" thing. I love it whent they say open carry is not threatening.
