Corner-peering Periscope Rifle

  1. I understand the desire, but that one doesn't look practical. The vertical portion of the stock would be the weak point during recoil, and how does the shooter work the bolt? The Germans, if I recall correctly, devised a rifle with a curved barrel to shoot around corners, but nothing much came of it.

There are modern guns that make something of this nature work. They involve stronger materials and video equipment, though.

  2. What a strange recoil this must have.

Not that I can imagine anyone firing it...but then again? We've seen some decidedly dangerous things from the gun nuts with their fetish objects.

Who in the world created this silly thing?

  3. Dog Gone,

It looks like something that would be tried in trench warfare. If so, I can understand the desperation that would lead to it, although I doubt that it was a success.
