Penn Jillette on the Marijuana Laws

How is it possible that Penn Jillette never tried pot or, even more difficult to believe, never had a sip of alcohol? To me that sounds even more bizarre than Obama admitting what he did in the book or Clinton's famous "didn't inhale" remark.

Other than that, I'm in total agreement with releasing the folks in jail for pot.

What do you think?  Please leave a comment.

  1. Jillette strikes me as the kind of driven person who decided early on what he wanted to be and concluded that any substance of the sort named would dull his abilities. I have no reason to doubt him on his claim.

But he's exactly right about drugs. As long as I'm not driving under the influence or robbing stores to support a habit, it's my body, my choice.

By the way, Mikeb, are you aware of Jillette's position on guns? Look at his videos. You'll learn something, if you don't already know.

  2. Greg & CJM- Did you guys see that "Bullshit" episode? I thought the most poignant part was the little kid at the firing range. During the show, they debated the opinions of people who claim that violent video games cause children to become more violent. So they take this 9 year old kid, who plays violent video games, and have him fire a gun. Afterwards they show the child scarred to death, crying in his Mother's arms. The violent video game theory put to the test on T.V. Priceless.

    3. Sounds like double child abuse for the TV ratings.
