The Tula Tokarev-33 has no safety. If they had one, it may have been engaged. Also, American weaponry is far less reliable, presumably to compensate for the idiocy of the user.
American weaponry is far less reliable? I take it that you're unaware that the Tokarev is largely a copy of our M1911--without the American gun's safeties. In 7.62 x 25, I favor the CZ vz. 52.
