The Nigger-Inaugural at the Willard Hotel in WDC

via democommie

Just four days from President Obama's inauguration, poor Holly Morris from Fox-5 News was either JUST doing her job and READING her script or was she saying what she was really THINKING? She seems so nice and I'm sure it was just a SLIP of her tongue but you still got to check it out!!!

  1. That's a fucking scream demo. Tx for sharing. I love their feigned levity and fake joy that they conjure up to cover their inner pain. Reminds me of November 7th, when all the republicans at work couldn't even talk for about seven hours.

Why the fuck would FOX even cover, much less comment on the second inauguration of Barack Hussein Obama? Why the hell don't they just know when the fuck to shut the hell up? They need to know that their viewpoint and their help is just not needed in any imaginable way.

I like to watch CBS for these types of events. I also like tequila.

    1. So only such views as are approved by a leftist committee are accepable? Typical hippie attitude--you love freedom, as long as no one does anything you don't like.

    2. Well Greg...

I am busted to a certain extent. I consider the birth of FOX News as something akin to the opening of Pandora's box or perhaps the original sin. Believe me, back in the 1970s, my parents and I were very much aware that our local rag, the San Diego Union was a conservative newspaper. But it really didn't bother us in the slightest, much less make us violently ill. You see, the country as a whole was more or less liberal during the years following the Great Depression. Everybody in Texas and Oklahoma if not Mississippi were mostly dyed-in-the-wool FDR democrats. My grandparents certainly. Guys like Eisenhower were "New Republicans" who didn't want to dismantle the New Deal and worked together with democrats to get things done. When I was a kid, Walter Cronkite was the CBS anchor. Nobody really considered him liberal. He was simply a respected reporter. Reagan loved him with a deep affection. In the late 1950s, Governor Moonbeam's father, Pat Brown, started to build up California into the promised land that it is today with efficient water management and the heyday of the University of California. We were kind of all on the same side in the old days. Even Nixon was okay.

Not so today. FOX is a rich pablum for stupid old republicans and even stupider young republicans who want to sign up and throw away their minds at a much younger age. I'm just saying, "Why say anything about Obama, if you can't say anything nice? Why embarass yourselves?" This Freudian slip involving the N-word is a perfect example. They hate the president. There is no point in hearing their take on these type of things. There are so many other news outlets in the world. It's simply a waste of everybody's time.

    3. Actually, I don't hear "nigger" in what she said. She switched one vowel for another. It's an easy error to make. In addition, this is the local news affiliate, not the evil corporate head office.

On the subject of news in general, my main source is NPR, supplemented by the BBC and lots of reading on-line--newspaper articles, blogs, and so forth. ABC, CBS, NBC, and Fox all play to the lowest common denominator. I don't bother with cable, so I don't watch television in real time, anyway.

    4. I'm sorry for popping off at you earlier. You sound like a fun guy to have a beer with. I just wish we as a country could get past this constant effort to meddle in the lives of others. Right-wingers don't want people to smoke pot, have abortions, have the wrong kind of sex, or believe in the wrong religion. Leftists don't want people to own guns, believe in the Bible, say things that aren't approved of by a list of advocates, or read dead, white males. I just want to live my life and make my choices and not hurt anyone else.

    5. Of course Greg denies that it was the word nigger. That's his strategy, deny, deny, deny, never admit to anything.

As I was just saying to Tennesseean on another thread, racism is a huge part of what motivates the conservatives, Republicans and gun rights advocates. Not ALL, but many, maybe even most. If the shoe fits, wear it, if not, at least quit denying the obvious.

    6. And Mikeb, of course, you heard that word. You want to hear it. Your claim that racism is a huge part of the motivation of gun rights advocates and people on the right wing of American politics shows your prejudice. It's glaringly obvious, but you won't admit that.

But answer me this: Is it possible that she just had a slip of the tongue without any meaning behind it?

    7. Where did the slip come from if not from her real thoughts? It never ceases to amaze me how some can be given an excuse for opening your mouth when your brain is not in gear. It's her job to know what she is saying and to what audience she is addressing. If a African American anchor had call Bush's inauguration a "honkey hoedown" would you expect them to retain their job and the network station not immediately make a statement to counteract that "slip". Why are there double standards in this country? Because it's okay to have a slip when you're white but not if you are any other ethnic race.

  2. I gave up watching political theater long ago, since I have a low tolerance for lying and nonsense.
