Iran, North Korea, Syria Agree with the NRA

Fox

Iran, North Korea and Syria blocked adoption of a U.N. treaty that for the first time would regulate the multibillion-dollar international arms trade. An agreement required agreement by all 193 U.N. member states. But other countries refused to let the treaty die.
Nice company the NRA and gun-rights fanatics are keeping these days.

  1. Let's see, so you told us that the treaty wasn't aimed at taking away our guns, but look at that image you added to this article. That's a compact 1911, a common carry gun. What message are we supposed to infer?

Regarding those countries, though, two points:

    1. This shows the inherent weakness of the United Nations, its only saving grace. Any country can derail its efforts.

    2. Do you recall Churchill's comment about supporting Stalin? He said that if Hitler invaded Hell, he'd make a favorable reference to the Devil in Parliament.

I have no love for the nations named, but sometimes, even one's enemies can do us a favor.

By the way, I can't wait to see what E.N. has to say about his beloved North Korea.

    1. The decadence of the imperialist powers is the reason that America relies on the generosity of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea to feed their (it's) citizens.

Those who have long oppressed the collective will of the people, as expressed through Mao Tse-tung Thought (Juche) will be brought to justice and meet their punishment. Your liberation will come soon.

History is on our side. We will bury you.

  2. A broken clock is right twice a day.

But sure, this TOTALLY shows that we're just like those countries.

This would be your 3rd or 4th recent post on the treaty. Each time you bring it up, we tell you what our concerns are, and you never respond. Instead, you just make a new post calling us paranoid.

Or now, making a hilariously weak attempt to smear us by linking us to these three tyrannies.

    HA!

    1. You guys have been told by many including insiders that it will have no effect on domestic gun rights.

    2. Mikeb, are you admitting to being E.N.? Dear me, we've been told. Well, all righty then. When are you going to realize that your side has zero credit with us? You're cash only, and we'll check every bill and coin you hand over to make sure it's real.

    3. You tell us this, and they tell us this, but then we look at the actual text, and it does have an effect on us.

You, and they, have yet to explain how the objections we make are baseless and how we're misunderstanding the plain text of the drafts they've been putting out.

You can keep telling us that the treaty will not affect us, but it's a lie. We know it, and you know it. Stop pissing on my leg and telling me it's raining.

    4. They specifically said "domestic" and "exports" excluding imports. Can you address how it's going to affect imports?

    5. The bill contains a lot of vague language about setting up proper controls within the legal system of each nation. In other words, it's a bunch of blather. But it also requires us to trust people that we didn't elect and have no control over. If we did trust them, we'd be exactly the fools that Mikeb takes us for.

    6. If, as you say, the treaty "will have no effect on domestic gun rights," why would you support it? When have you ever had any enthusiasm for anything that doesn't trample rights?

Remember when the UN was a noble organization that offered real promise for the betterment of humanity?

      Yeah--neither do I.

  6. Gun control will be implemented when better international measured are adopted that do not infringe on the rights of legitimate State actors.

We want gun control, not discrimination. Demand an end to the ATT!

  7. Very useful rule of thumb: Anyone who refers to "rights fanatics" is very likely an enemy of decency and humanity.

  8. By the way, tyrannical governments such as those of China and Iran are on record as siding with domestic enemies such as the Brady Campaign, Violence Policy Center, Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, etc.
