Bulletproof Backpacks

Bulletproof backpacks video from ABC

We've discussed this before, but it seems like they're back in a big way. The 3rd-world sweat-shop owner has an obvious profit motive. The gun-rights nuts, taking their cue from Leader La Pierre, have another. Whatever deflects from the true focus of the issue is good.  Sometimes it an exclusive focus on school security guards or improving the mental health reporting. As Ladd Everett said, we should be doing everything possible to stop these mass shootings before they happen, but thanks to the gun lobby, absolutely no changes have happened to accomplish that since Newtown.

You gun-fetish sickos should be proud.

  1. Later on, Mikeb, you'll weasel about and say that you didn't mean all of us.

  2. Gun Fetishists?

That term ought to apply to you, Mikeb, as you seem to be perpetually fixated on the topic.

You hold such a disgusting prejudice against those whom you just happen to come from a different background or geographical region. If you where raised in a culture or subculture where the use of firearms was a fact of everyday life (recreational or subsistence hunting, for example), then you would likely be of a different viewpoint. There is nothing unnatural to display a fascination or enthusiasm for a particular form of object.

In your own way you are fascinated with guns, yet you apply the term "fetishist" to those who happen to be different from yourself in a petty, trollish, and asinine attempt to garner attention.

You know better, yet you are the first to slip on the armbands, put on the hoods, and attack those who just happen to be different from you. Sickening really.

You can do better than this. Don't be just another tool.

    1. No, I'm afraid I don't know better. I blame the gun manufacturers, the NRA, the gun lobby and you gun-rights fanatics, not only for the gun violence in the US but also for the sad state of affairs that makes bullet-proof backpacks a viable product for little kids.

  3. Don't want to talk about your evidence of a "sweat-shop" operation, eh? How utterly unsurprising.
