Notice that it's either coaches or college administrators, not faculty. Of course, those two types are also the ones who whine the loudest or come down to meddle in the affairs of the rest of us.
I belive that coaches and heads of the schools serve at the pleasure of the Board. They are hired with a contract and paid acording to what their perceived worth is. If they dont produce results, they dont get to stay.
If it were up to me, I'd dump the lot of them--presidents included. Physical fitness is part of the Greek ideal, but modern athletics has nothing to do with that and only detracts from the job of the college.
