Lawful Lesbian Gun Owner Goes Crazy

Local news reports

A 41-year-old pediatrician is being held on $2 million bail after she allegedly fired several shots at her former partner, striking her three times and narrowly missing their 11-year-old son.

Lauren Patricia Daly, a pediatrician at A.I. du Pont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del., is charged with attempted homicide and related offenses in connection with the Memorial Day shooting that occurred about 6:49 p.m. in the driveway of her home in the 200 block of North Middletown Road, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

Daly reportedly was upset at not being able to speak with her son and allegedly responded by firing several rounds through the windshield of the victim’s black Volvo, striking the 49-year-old woman in the face and torso. The boy was not physically harmed.

According to the affidavit of probable cause written by Trooper John O’Donnell, Daly and the victim had been in a relationship that ended several years ago.

Daly was held overnight then arraigned Tuesday morning by Magisterial District Judge Walter Strohl on charges including attempted homicide, aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, two counts, endangering the welfare of a child and possessing instruments of crime. Daly did not post the $2 million bail and was remanded to Delaware County prison.

They keep telling us more and more women are buying guns.  Maybe they're right.

  1. Ah, yes, admit that maybe we're telling the truth about women buying guns, but only by tying it to an example of a woman going nuts.

    1. I know my elusive sense of humor and subtle sarcasm usually escapes you, but my point was the extreme rarity of these types of stories belies your continual claims about women buying guns.

      Get it?

    2. No, it doesn't. I've explained to you before about the dangers of using media reports as a means of determining the frequency of an event, but you never listen.

But let's notice two other points:

      1. This woman is a pediatrician. Don't you imagine that she'd be able to pass any psychological exam that you care to propose? By which I mean, don't you imagine that since she presumably has some access to the procedures involved in such tests, she'd know the kinds of answers to give? People who manage to finish medical school and get the kind of job that she has clearly have learned how to play in the system. In other words, even under your schemes, she'd likely have been allowed to own a gun.

      2. Apparently, the woman in question didn't listen to her fellow resident of Delaware. She should have fired a double-barreled shotgun.

    3. Right, because an influx in responsible female gun owners, which we have described, would automatically mean that there would be tons of stories about those women going nuts and shooting people under the influence of the guns' evil mind rays...

After all, the relative infrequency of stories of women shooting people couldn't be caused by the same things that cause the relative infrequency of stories about women stabbing people or beating them to death.

    4. No, not tons, but some at least. They're exceedingly rare. You guys keep telling us about women gun buyers and how even in the gay community guns are becoming more prevelant. It just ain't so.

    5. So women's groups and gay groups that support gun rights are just AstroTurf? You're characterizing our side by the nature of your organizations.

    6. Wow. News stories about responsible gun owning women and gays can be freely ignored as fake propaganda in your paradigm, because the only thing that can prove more of these people are buying guns is their misuse of them.

That logic is so twisted that I wonder how you take yourself seriously.

  2. Seems to me this is an example of why we should not allow gay marriage. As you can plainly see, it will only lead to the partners shooting at each other as this article explains.

    1. Good point. This shows us that we cannot trust homosexuals. Just as the actions of a few criminals are reason to mistrust all 100 million firearms owners, the actions of a few homosexuals are reason to distrust all homosexuals.

  3. Those damned fat white males from Mississippi and Louisiana . . . oh wait--that's not what's going on here, and I'm not a bigot, anyway.
