    I still have a vinyl copy of Clear Spot...The LP was packaged in a clear vinyl sleeve. I got to see this incarnation of The Magic Band in Detroit...some of that show is up on YouTube...the opened for the Kinks, who were great (it was when they released the album Everybody's In Showbiz), but I gather from interviews I read not so long ago, Beefheart and the Kinks had no mutual admiration in the least.
