It's funny, in this case the gun owner was arrested immediately for storing a gun within reach of children AND THEN the case was turned over to the DA for investigation. What gives?

Well, it sounds like she was booked and released, so, she isn't exactly cooling her heels in jail. Also, perhaps it had something to do with the company she keeps, because actually two people were arrested in this event.
"WISN 12 News learned the boy's 49-year-old grandmother was arrested for leaving or storing a loaded firearm within the reach or access of a child. She was booked and released, awaiting a meeting with the district attorney."
"A 35-year-old man in the house was arrested because police found a gun on him during their investigation, which is illegal because he's a convicted felon."
I never said they should be locked up without bail.
Oh--so you want them arrested, but you don't mind them getting out of jail, if they have enough money to pay for it. Tell me--isn't the cited grounds for objection to a voter ID mandate that poor people, who are disproportionately made up of racial minorities, can't afford such IDs (which are a hell of a lot cheaper than any bail, I would surmise), thus making voter ID requirements "racist"?
How does your "keep the poor rotting in jail" policy differ from that?
Even without knowing the racial status of anyone involved, just scream, "Racism!" Mikeb--or is that only in the South?
