You left out fatigue with Obama and Obama's big push for gun control. You also neglected the high probability that both the House and Senate will be Republican come 2014.
Must be some of those Affirmative Action College Democrats that came up with this. A record 92,000,000 people out of work, 45,000,000 on food stamps, half the people in NY barely making ends meet, paychecks buy less than 40 years ago. One can guess that these AA inferiors don't have cars and don't buy gasoline, don't go to the grocery store or pay monthly utility bills.
Anyone with an IQ over 60 can see how fucking stupid this is.
Let's also note that according to the discussion on NPR today, the drop in unemployment is due in large part to many people deciding to leave the workforce. Quite a few of those have gone on disability.
Mikeb, why won't you look things up before reacting? This is an investigative series done by NPR on the question of what's happening to the people who are no longer looking for work but who don't have jobs. The report found that large numbers are going on disability. The causes are complex, but it is happening.
But as always, why should you bother informing yourself about something you've already had feelings over?
People have to prove a medical disability to get a federal disability. If they qualify, they qualify. They can't just claim it, then get it. Government doctors have to examine and certify a persons disability, and even then it's had to get, which is why lawyers are constantly advertising their services to help process your disability claim. It's absurd that if a government doctor certifies you are disabled, that you still need an attorney to get the benefits approved.
I support disability services. I'm not saying that disabled people should be thrown out on the street. My point here is that we are seeing a shift from the unemployment rolls to the disabled rolls. In many cases, that's because the people who get on disability can only do manual labor jobs, and when they have an injury, they are no longer able to work. That shows the problem with our educational system.
As a society, though, we do have to be concerned with increasing numbers of people who are not working, and hiding those numbers through reclassification doesn't make the problem go away.
You infer those getting disability don't qualify, they just get it because they are unemployed and have no other way to get income besides a disability claim, now you come back and clarify, as the dishonest person you are.

ReplyDeleteIs that a high probability, really?

Orlin sellers
But five years of Obama didn't net us more gun control. So why would we lose next time?
ReplyDeleteIt would have to be with a change on the Supreme Court which would trickle down throughout the land.
DeleteDo you realize that the Heller decision had nothing to do with M-T failing?

ReplyDeleteThat sounds like nonsense, Greg.
DeleteLets see your figures to prove that ridiculous statement.
