Quote of the Day--Who said it????

I don’t know why any individual should have a right to have a revolver in his house, The kids usually kill themselves with it and so forth....why “can’t we go after handguns, period?”
“I know the rifle association will be against it, the gun makers will be against it.” But “people should not have handguns.”
Who said that?  Was it:
  1. Barack Obama
  2. Joe Biden
  3. Richard M. Nixon
  4. Al Gore

  1. Hmm... I going to guess that it was someone a long time ago, because politicians can't talk like this anymore and keep a political career. The gun control movement has lost a lot of ground over the decades, so I'm going to go with Nixon.

It also sounds like something a crook would say.

    1. So you're saying Nixon? I think it could be Biden. He's been known to shoot his mouth off unconcerned with the political correctness.

  2. Nixon.

Here is another one for you:

“Deadly assault weapons have no place here. These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense. They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.”

  3. Here is another good one:

“Every year, an average of 9,200 Americans are murdered by handguns, according to Department of Justice statistics. This does not include suicides or the tens of thousands of robberies, rapes and assaults committed with handguns.
This level of violence must be stopped. Sarah and Jim Brady are working hard to do that, and I say more power to them. If the passage of the Brady bill were to result in a reduction of only 10 or 15 percent of those numbers (and it could be a good deal greater), it would be well worth making it the law of the land.”
