The US doesn't have a gun problem? seriously?

By a true "mass shooting" definition (over 4 people shot: not killed), The US has had 270 mass shootings this year.

  1. The US has a gun problem, a pro-gunner problem, and a problem with the persistently stupid and ill-informed obsessed with the means for lethal violence.

    1. MikeB asked for your comment regarding these quotes of yours. See link below. Do you care to comment?

Dog gone: “I was never afraid of my stalker, although I found the person to be unstable, and unpredictable, and simply nuts. Including being a right wing religous nut job. It was incredibly annoying.

      […]

No one who knew either of us doubted that if she were to show up on my front lawn again at 3 a.m. to attempt to harrass and intimidate me, that I would shoot her long before she could get any closer, taking advantage of the ranged aspect of the firearm.”

MikeB: “TS, that sure is a pretty hard-to-justify quote. Where's Dog Gone when we need her. Maybe it's something taken out of context - I don't know.”

You should have the opportunity to defend yourself if you haven’t seen this post. It is a little buried. It is especially apropos as you are the one who incessantly calls out pro-gun people for having “poor judgment” regarding the use of lethal response, as you are doing here again.

    3. dog gone We have a problem with socialist elitist assholes who believe they are the sharpest TOOLS in the shed and want a nanny state implemented to force compliance of their statist anti freedom agenda on those who differ in opinion.

    5. I agree. That was right up there with Kurt, the king of hyperbolic exaggeration.

I wouldn't say that. U.S. gun laws are far too draconian, and that's a very serious problem. One, though, that can be fixed with a nice big helping of shall not be infringed.

    1. Yeah, more of the meaningless phrase from over 200 years ago.

    2. For a "meaningless phrase," it sure did a number on Washington D.C.'s and Chicago's handgun bans, Illinois' concealed carry ban (and at least for now, California's "may issue" carry permit issuance system), etc.

      Words matter. Mikeb--even old ones.

    3. No, Kurt. The phrase is better rendered "shall not be infringed too much."

    4. If you want to edit the hell out of the Bill of Rights, there's an amendment process to do so.

      Good luck with that (chuckle).

    5. That laughing at the law Kurt, is why you are a criminal thinker and should not be listened to.
