Via Ohh Shoot. Notice how they keep describing it in the passive voice. It sounds like they're all prepared to write it off as an accident - could happen to anybody, after all.
I say the decision they need to make is between manslaughter and negligent homicide. But this is Oklahoma. How much you want to bet a year from now this dangerous miscreant is still enjoying his god-given 2nd Amendment rights?

ReplyDeleteDoesn't sound like that to me. Not at all.
The police are still investigating, and the DA will wait until he has the police report in his hand before proceeding (which is totally understandable).
Why do you see that as them calling it an accident, and then dropping the case (or the investigation)? Yes, they are calling it an accident (as in, he doesn't seem to have deliberately murdered her), but it doesn't seem like the police are just letting it go. The investigation is still ongoing.
Sounds to me like he's going to be (and should be) charged with either manslaughter or perhaps negligent homicide.
Well at least we think alike as to what the charges should be. Let's see who's right about whether it comes to pass.
