NOLA.com reports on the terrible bloodshed down there. 

New Orleans police are investigating a shooting incident in the 6th Ward that left a 21-year-old man dead early Saturday morning. The shooting occurred shortly after midnight in the 1900 block of St. Ann Street, according to statement by Officer Frank Robertson III, a department spokesman.

Robertson said the man was shot multiple times and died on the scene. The victim's name has not been released, pending notification of his family.

No information about a possible motive or suspect was given.

This makes the sixth homicide in the city since Wednesday. Harry "Mike" Ainsworth was killed in Algiers Wednesday morning after he intervened in a carjacking. Early Thursday morning, Derrick Howard, 25, and Darryl C. Long, 26, were found shot to death in a truck in the 7th Ward. An unidentified man was shot to death in Hollygrove late Thursday night. Another unidentified man was shot to death Friday in eastern New Orleans.
