A North Carolina woman has been charged in the shooting death of her husband and his son in South Carolina.Retribution for domestic abuse is the first thing that comes to my mind, but really it could be anything. Heck, she could have been the abuser.
Horry County police have charged 40-year-old Sandy Lee Locklear of Tabor City, N.C., with two counts of murder, burglary and filing a false police report.
Locklear is accused of shooting and killing her 66-year-old husband, Amos Hatfield, and his son, 40-year-old Thomas Howard Hatfield, at their home in Loris early Sunday.
Officials say Amos Hatfield had bought the home for his wife in Tabor City in June, while he lived with his son in Loris.
One thing for sure is, Sandy was one of the adherents of that school of thought which says "the gun is the answer."

Is her name really McCoy? No one is checking...
ReplyDeletePlease dont assume....she is well known by friends and family. To us shes innocent.
ReplyDeleteTell us more. Was she a battered woman who'd had enough?
DeleteI did not know Sandy Locklear, but I did know both Amos and Thomas. There was never a more likeable person. He was always trying to help someone who was in need. He did not deserve to be shot and killed like this. Hope she gets the max. sentance she can get.
ReplyDeletewhy wasn't they living together?
ReplyDeleteIf she is innocent what connection did she have with those two black men? I have heard one of them turned himself in and did they find the other one? So another question has to be asked if it was abuse where do the two young men come into play?
ReplyDeletesupposedly they gunmen wanted the stepson for "drug money". I was recently arrested and had conversation with her in person. Cant say innocent or guilty for sure but i do have my opinion. I did not know they didnt live together though, that def puts a twist to the story
DeleteSandy not only was abused as a child she also had to watch while someone else was abused. She was a beautiful child.. who had horrific nightmares that unfortunately were not nightmares but her reality that started at a young age. Dysfunctional is not a word that comes close to her daily life. I can only pray for everyone involved. Judge ye not lest ye be judged.
ReplyDeleteYou just dont sit in jail for over a year if you did not do it.... I was in jail with her she said she married that man so he could take care of her.... I was also abused... I never killed any one... She said he was a sweet man... from her own mouth she said he NEVER hit or hurt her
ReplyDeleteWow.
