Linguistic Differences in the United States

Business Insider provides 23 fascinating maps.This is the deepest and most obvious linguistic divide in America. It's also an example of how everyone in south Florida pronounces things in the northern U.S. style.

    1. I grew up with "yous guys," but I guess it isn't widespread enough to make it on the map.

  3. The odd thing is that the way I pronounce a lot of those words or the words that I use are in line with places I've never lived. This would be the effect of television and radio on speech patterns, I suppose.
